Q: How does money get transferred to our organization?

All of our donation process through our payment processor, Stripe. From there, the money transfers into the bank account of your choice, and processing usually takes six days. Once funds are ready, click the “Withdraw Funds” button in your BetterWorld dashboard to transfer the funds to your account!

Q: Can a donor get proof of their donation for tax purposes?

Yes! This is part of the beauty of BetterWorld’s automation! Anyone who donates to your a-thon fundraiser will automatically receive a receipt via email, and this email will include your organization’s Tax ID and other necessary information.

Q: Can I really set up a donation campaign for free?

Yes! BetterWorld is committed to always being free to use. Our mission is to provide best-in-class fundraising tools for organizations and individuals nationwide. We want your amazing organizations to keep as much money as possible, which is why our platform is entirely free. Our credit card processor, Stripe, does charge a small fee (2.9% + $0.30), which most donors often cover themselves.

Q: Can I add custom questions to a donations campaign?

You sure can! Custom questions are a great way to personalize your campaign and gather information from your donors. Go to “Settings” inside your BetterWorld dashboard to add your custom questions. You can choose the order of the questions and whether they’re required.
